The over one hundred years of business activity of this historic company are the tangible evidence of its ancient roots. It was founded in 1875 by the enterprising Carlo Menon, who laid the foundations for what would become, thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Basso family, a leading firm in the industry.
Continuity and innovation are the key elements in the success of a company which, after over one hundred years, has retained the same enthusiasm for investing in innovation and continuous improvement, to achieve ever greater customer satisfaction.
This Italian excellence has its origins in late 19th century.
In 1875, Carlo Menon, took the path that would have affirmed his transition from blacksmith to manufacturer of bikes, motorcycles and eventually cars. At the dawn of the 20th century, he began the production of the first small car, equipped with a single-cylinder engine, demonstrating his innate resourcefulness.
The history of young Menon often intertwined with that of the Italian industry.
Manufacturer of bicycles, and motorcycles before then, he distinguished himself for a pioneering spirit made of expertise and technical knowledge.
At the dawn of the new century, not yet forty years old, he had already written important chapters in the history of Italian industry.
In the 30s the company began the production of armaments, entering the military sector, strategic for our country at that time.
1930/40. Armaments production.
The acquisition of such a distinguished and sophisticated technical expertise, coupled with an unbridled thirst for knowledge, was essential in obtaining the "know-how" that allowed him, in the course of the following decades, to develop mechanical components that are still considered highly innovative in the context of the Italian metalworking industry.
In the 50s the orientation of the business began to shift toward mechanical constructions, specifically hot pressing and processing of non-ferrous metals, which allowed Nuova Menon to rise among other industry leaders.
The perfect integration of all departments ensures an optimized management for every process.
Our Engineering Department is able to provide, within seven working days, an extremely accurate and detailed quotation drawn on the basis of three-dimensional virtual models (CAD) and computer simulation systems (CAE) that guarantee high efficiency and service quality.
Supporting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents are available upon request.
The whole production cycle is carried out in-house which allows us to achieve benefits in terms of logistics, organization and quality.
During the realization of the final product, the complete integration of the planning in all production steps guarantees the optimization of all processes in compliance with the requested quality standards.
Nuova Menon is already certified OHSAS 18001:2007 along with only a few other companies. The quality management systems are built on the basis of advanced software systems that are interconnected between the various departments. Specialized in the manufacture of brass, our company is equipped to machine the latest generation of low lead alloys.
